The Fátima apparitions are associated with Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in Portugal in 1917.
Francisco and Jacinta later became saints.
The Church's admiration for them is not based simply on the fact that they reported seeing an apparition. Their holiness was found in their response to grace: prayer, sacrifice, love, truthfulness, and concern for the conversion and peace of others.
