That simple observation stayed with Cecilia.
A Marian title had become so woven into Venezuelan life that Coromoto was not only something people prayed — it was a name families gave their daughters.

The tradition of Our Lady of Coromoto is connected with an encounter involving the Indigenous Cacique Coromoto near Guanare in 1652.
Over generations, the devotion became one of the great religious symbols of Venezuela.
